LightCrawl - LOWREZ demake of NightCrawl
Lightcrawl was made in about 7 days for the LOWREZJAM 2025, with theme "Just One Button" and all the possible choices you "Left Behind". It takes inspiration from those stupid choose one mobile games, the Brick Game console's racing mode and another game of mine: Nightcrawl!
Choose who to fight and what to sacrifice to make it as far as you can!
Executables coming soon (tm)
For some reason, sometimes music doesn't start on the web, idk why ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Lightcrawl is played with any 1 button of your choice! Press briefly to switch lanes on the battlefield or hold it for a longer time to change weapons if you have two of them! Controls are very simple: (alternatievly gamepad + left face button)
Combat is resolved in a very simple way. Enemies will deal their health (indicated top left) as damage to you. If you have a weapon, you deal YOUR damage first and take the rest of their Health remaining. You weapons are not limitless, with each combat they loose 1 durability! Take care of them with anvils, or just replace them as needed!
Enemies have weaknesses! Showcased in the bottom left, so use the right weapon for the right job! Using an effective weapon will deal x2 damage to your foes!
Picking up weapons is easy. Just stay in the lane to grab them, but be careful, you can only hold two! If you pick up another one, your currently held weapon is replaced!
Enemies have SKILLS
Berserks will deal 2x damage if you do not hit them with a weapon they are weak to!
Rusters will break your current weapon!
Rangers will shoot arrows at you, dodge them!

Auto buy things in the shop, if you have gold. Be careful, choose wisely!

We were streaming basically all the development on Twitch, throughout the jam! If you are interested in how we made things, check into the playlist!

A surprisingly addictive little game!
I found the gameplay to be decently challenging initially, however by the end of the run I'd racked up a 200+ damage sword! Only to lose it swapping lanes to avoid an arrow...
While the endgame likely needs balancing, I can't say it wasn't fun being that overpowered and running through every enemy that stood in the way!
Thanks for the kind words, balance def. was sidelines this time sadly
Awesome Game! 392M and 21 monsters defeated
Letsgoo, nice score!
another brainrot tiktok game HYPE
Hey! Great execution of the theme! The game is fun and cute. It seemed really hard for me for some rounds but I did get a hang of it after a while and then mostly died when the game got too fast.
(I also didn't read the whole description at first so I missed some of the meanings of things but with the description it all makes sense :D)
Hi! Thank you so much! The game is wildy out of balance compared to the usual stuff I do, glad to hear it is still fun!
Once I’ll have more time to refine it a bit I’ll add a little tutorial, I was just a slowpoke during the jam due to learning Löve2D.
