Introduction

Welcome to Vol.1 of Pico-Adventure, a dark fantasy inspired adventure/roguelike/whatever you want to use it for pixel-art 8x8 tileset! 

Made inside PICO-8 using the lovely default palette, this tileset is a perfect fit for your cart, or any other project that is in need of a tileset!

I started creating this tileset on stream as a break from all my development to give back to the community in a form of a 

FREE 

tileset! Credited under CC BY 4.0, I only ask you to credit me once you use this in your work! Tag me on socials, Twitter, Mastodon, let me see what you create with it!

What is inside?

• 16 humanoid characters, with 2-frame idle animation!
• 8 lovely forest creatures, with 2-frame idle animations!
• 8 scary enemy, with 2-frame idle animations!
• 22 item sprites!
• 6 cute village dwelling animals, with 2-frame idle animations!
• 3 Unique "Biomes"
• The foresty wilderness with vegetation, rivers and old ruins!
• A cozy little modular village with indoor sprites and farm fields!
• The old mines once rich with ores, now abandoned!
• The Demo PICO-8 cart
• A PICO-8 formatted png file
• A transparent .png file for anyone else

Future:

I plan on creating more tileset for sure, so if you like what you see drop a follow on my socials to be up to date with all of it!

Vol.2 is in consideration, expanding on all the aspects of this, adding new "biomes", enemies, npcs.

Expansion packs are what is gonna follow this up soon, where we focus on one part of this, and add a lot of variety content onto it!
