Druid Dash: Magic Mushroom Mania
This project is an entry for the MossyMonth 2023 creative jam, with theme: Forest!
Controls:
PICO-8 relevant keyboard buttons are X/C.
Story:
Luna was cursed by a cheecky witch to never be able to stop running in a straight line. Help her gather all the magical mushrooms for a ritual to clense the curse once and for all!
Gameplay:
Move in the four cardinal directins while choosing your path wisely. You can never change your path by yourself.
Each forest is it's own little puzzle, can you solve them all?
Export your moves at the end of each stage to the clipboard and share with your friends and us, how many moves did you take! It will copy to your clipboard for your Ctrl+V pleasures!
You can do the same at the very end of the game with all your moves!

Great puzzle game! The first level was surprisingly harder than expected, messing up the first move, and I can't complete it unless I reset. Didn't had that for most of the other levels

What a delightful PICO-8 puzzler!! Really enjoyed the cleverness of the mechanics and “easy to understand, hard to conquer” nature of the puzzles. Great complexity ramp to ease the player into harder levels! Well done!
Such a fun and enjoyable game! I really enjoyed the aesthetics and game mechanics. The bright colors and picking up the shrooms in each forest put a smile on my face. The gradual addition of plants becoming trees to help change navigation was cool. Lots of fun mechanics - great work on this!
