Roadmap

Planning to finish the first release by the end of this month (February 2024). Some kind of score system and maybe a chooseable difficulty is left.

How to play:

Arrows to move, X to start. You can step twice, before most monsters stepping once. There are exceptions to this rule.

Find Swords and Shields to help you overcome the enemy horde!

Search the key, uncover where the trapdoor is, and progress further to grab the McGuffin. (the McGuffin is a lie, not in yet, push yourself to as deep as you can)

Devlogs:

If you are interested in game development articles, code breakdowns and alikes, I try to document all my projects over at my Ko-fi Page, free to read!

Support:

Once the jam is over, the game will be available for FREE on the Lexaloffle BBS. Itch and my Ko-fi page are possibilities to support my work and enjoy the pre-exported binaries!

If you like this work, feel free to browse around my page and maybe check out my Ko-fi blog https://ko-fi.com/achiegamedev , where you can support me with a price of a coffee, to be able to fuel my coding habits and gain more retro games!

This game is great! It plays a bit like a ZX80 game called Mazogs, but it's zoomed out. This is a great game!

Like the design and visuals.  Would be nice if there was something a bit more to do than just "find key, progress to next level", but it's entertaining for a while.

Glad you liked what it had.

I won’t go deep with this project, I was just inspired for a quick little project and wanted to see how I can do dungeon generation with my already existing methods! If you are interested in more, check out the devlog article!
